The Accoya wood on this beautiful home near the coast of Spain, is coated with Sansin’s WoodForce treatment in a modern Sky Grey color. The coastal climate requires a finish that is durable to hold up to heat and humidity. Additionally, the owner wanted a color for the Accoya that would complement the rest of the home’s finishes. Sansin’s penetrating, breathable WoodForce was the perfect match. WoodForce is an ultra-low VOC wood treatment that allows exterior wood to weather naturally while offering exceptional water repellency and protection from blackening, discoloration and wood rot. The wood was finished at Dresser Mouldings, part of the James Latham group, to offer protection in transit and in-situ, and an additional coat was added on-site. The owner reports that two years later, the finish looks as good as the day it was applied.
